Infinito | Raffaele Rossi
From January 23 to March 20, 2021
Raffaele Rossi’s works are born from a perfect balance between construction and gesture, rationality and emotion, natural elements and landscapes of the soul. Attracted by historical painting techniques, the artist learned to grind and mix pigments for use in egg tempera and oils, and to prepare panels and canvases, acquiring a passion for ancient techniques and materials. He interiorizes the fresco technique, which he then makes his own by experimenting, creating thick surfaces of particular aggregates such as marble dust, sands and natural adhesives. His paintings are abstract, but reveal ancient reminiscences that take the viewer on an emotional experience. Fire and water, earth and air, mix, blend and reveal themselves in paintings that take you on a mystical inner journey and leave you surprised and fascinated in front of them, in front of the possibilities of life and in front of the infinity.
